How it works

From WiFi login to
Brevo contact in seconds

1
Guest connects to your WiFi
CaptiveWiFi shows your branded splash page. The guest enters their email and ticks your marketing consent checkbox — or logs in via social.
2
CaptiveWiFi syncs to Brevo
Within seconds, the contact lands in your chosen Brevo list with venue name, visit date, visit count and consent attributes already set.
3
Brevo automation fires
A welcome email, SMS or WhatsApp message goes out automatically. Return visits trigger re-engagement flows. All without any manual work.

FAQ

Common questions

Which Brevo plan is required?
The integration works with any Brevo plan that includes API access — that covers Free, Starter, Business and Enterprise. CaptiveWiFi uses the Brevo Contacts API to add and update contacts.
Can I map contacts to specific Brevo lists?
Yes. In the CaptiveWiFi dashboard you choose which Brevo list receives contacts from each venue. You can have different lists per venue or consolidate to one master list.
Does it update existing Brevo contacts?
Yes. If a guest's email already exists in Brevo, CaptiveWiFi updates their contact attributes (visit count, last visit date) rather than creating a duplicate.
Is GDPR consent passed to Brevo?
Yes. CaptiveWiFi records the consent timestamp and opt-in source and passes this to Brevo as a contact attribute. You retain a full audit trail in CaptiveWiFi.
