What kind of footfall data does For-Sight receive from CaptiveWiFi?
For-Sight receives a verified visit record for each WiFi session — including the guest's name, email, visit timestamp, which venue zone they connected from (lobby, bar, restaurant, bedroom WiFi) and their marketing opt-in status. This gives For-Sight real-world visit data beyond what PMS or booking systems typically provide.
Does this work for day visitors and non-residents?
Yes — and this is a key benefit for hotels. Guests visiting the bar, restaurant or spa who are not staying at the property can still connect to WiFi and get captured in For-Sight. This gives you a much fuller picture of who is using your property, beyond just overnight guests.
Can CaptiveWiFi work across multiple hotel properties and sync all data to one For-Sight account?
Yes. CaptiveWiFi is built for hotel groups and multi-property operators. Each property syncs independently to For-Sight with property-level and zone-level tagging. You can see visit data aggregated across your whole estate or broken down by individual property.
Is guest data transferred to For-Sight GDPR compliant?
Yes. CaptiveWiFi only transfers data to For-Sight where the guest has explicitly consented at the WiFi portal. Every opt-in record includes a timestamp, the exact wording shown, the guest's IP address and the version of the consent form displayed. A full DPIA is available on request.
