How it works

Know your guests before
they sit down.

1
Guest connects to WiFi
Your branded CaptiveWiFi portal captures name, email and marketing consent. The guest gets online and CaptiveWiFi captures the data you need.
2
tableready record matched or created
CaptiveWiFi looks up the guest in tableready by email. Returning guests get their profile updated. New guests get a tableready record created with verified data.
3
Visit history and tags flow in
Visit count, recency and behaviour tags sync to tableready. Your host team sees the full guest picture (repeat visitor, first timer, high frequency) the moment they walk up.
Why CaptiveWiFi + tableready

Guest identity at
the host stand.

tableready manages your waitlist and seating. CaptiveWiFi tells you who each guest actually is: visit count, last visit, whether they're a regular or walking in for the first time.

Identify guests before they speak
WiFi connection history means your host team can pull up a guest's tableready profile before they've even said their name. Visit count, tags and last visit visible at a glance.
Verified visit frequency in tableready
CaptiveWiFi tracks every WiFi connection. tableready receives accurate visit frequency data, not just booking history, so you always know your real regulars.
Automatic guest tagging
First Visit, Returning, VIP and Lapsed tags applied automatically based on WiFi behaviour. Your team gets context without manual effort or guesswork.
FAQ

Common questions about
tableready + CaptiveWiFi.

Does this work for walk-in guests who haven't joined a waitlist?
Yes. Any guest who connects to your WiFi is captured by CaptiveWiFi and synced to tableready, whether or not they joined your waitlist or made a booking. Walk-ins, bar guests and event visitors are all included.
What data flows from CaptiveWiFi into tableready?
CaptiveWiFi sends verified name, email, marketing consent status, visit date and time, visit frequency, and behaviour-based tags such as First Visit, Returning, VIP and Lapsed. All data is tied to a confirmed opt-in record.
Is the data transfer GDPR compliant?
Yes. CaptiveWiFi only sends guest data to tableready where the guest has explicitly opted in at the WiFi portal. Every record includes a consent timestamp, the exact wording shown, and IP address. A Data Processing Agreement is available on request.
