Why CaptiveWiFi + DrayTek

Everything DrayTek
was missing.

DrayTek Vigor handles your broadband and wireless routing. CaptiveWiFi adds the guest intelligence layer — branded portal, identity capture, analytics and marketing automation — on top of your existing DrayTek deployment.

Wide DrayTek model support
CaptiveWiFi works with the full range of DrayTek Vigor routers and VigorAP access points that support the Hotspot Web Portal feature — including the Vigor 2860, 2926, 2960 and VigorAP 810, 902, 912 series.
Simple setup
DrayTek's Hotspot Web Portal configuration is accessible directly from the Vigor router or VigorAP web interface. Most venues are live in under an hour using our step-by-step guide.
Full guest data and analytics
Every connected guest is identified by name and email. CaptiveWiFi tracks visit frequency, dwell time and repeat visits across all your DrayTek locations — with live footfall reporting in your dashboard.
Setup overview

Five steps to go live
with DrayTek + CaptiveWiFi.

The integration uses DrayTek's Hotspot Web Portal feature with an external URL pointing to CaptiveWiFi. RADIUS credentials are provided by our support team.

1
Enable Hotspot Web Portal on DrayTek
Log in to your DrayTek Vigor router or VigorAP web interface. Navigate to Hotspot Web Portal and enable the feature on the interface or SSID you want to use for guest access.
2
Set the external portal URL
In the Hotspot Web Portal settings, select External Portal Server as the login method. Enter your CaptiveWiFi portal URL (e.g. https://getonline.captivewifi.io/guest/your-site-id) as the external portal address.
3
Configure the walled garden
Add getonline.captivewifi.io to the walled garden or whitelist in Hotspot Web Portal settings. This allows guests to reach the CaptiveWiFi splash page before they have logged in.
4
Add the CaptiveWiFi RADIUS server
Under the RADIUS server settings in Hotspot Web Portal, add radius.captivewifi.io on port 1812. Enter the shared secret provided by CaptiveWiFi support. Confirm the connection is active before proceeding.
5
Test and go live
Connect a test device to the guest network. Confirm you are redirected to the CaptiveWiFi splash page, complete the login flow, and verify the guest session appears in your CaptiveWiFi dashboard.
