FAQ

Common questions about
me&u + CaptiveWiFi.

How does CaptiveWiFi link a WiFi login to a me&u session?
When a guest connects to WiFi and provides their email, CaptiveWiFi matches that email to the guest's me&u record and passes the verified WiFi visit data into me&u. This links the physical visit (captured at the WiFi portal) to the guest's ordering and loyalty activity within me&u.
What guest data flows from CaptiveWiFi into me&u?
CaptiveWiFi sends verified guest email, name, visit timestamp, visit count, venue identifier and any configured venue tags into me&u. This data enriches the me&u guest profile and can be used to drive personalisation in the ordering experience.
Does the guest need to do anything beyond connecting to WiFi?
No. The guest connects to WiFi and completes the CaptiveWiFi portal as normal. The sync to me&u happens automatically in the background. No additional action is required from the guest and no separate app download is needed for the data to flow.
