What does Official SevenRooms API Partner mean?
CaptiveWiFi is an approved partner in the SevenRooms integration ecosystem. Our integration uses the official SevenRooms API, meaning it is fully supported, tested and maintained alongside SevenRooms platform updates. You get a production-grade integration, not a workaround.
Does this work for guests who never made a reservation?
Yes - and this is one of the biggest benefits. Walk-in guests, bar visitors, event attendees and anyone who connects to your WiFi gets captured in CaptiveWiFi and synced to SevenRooms. Reservations only capture guests who planned ahead. WiFi captures everyone who actually shows up.
What is the live guest dashboard?
The live guest dashboard is a real-time view designed for hospitality floor teams. It shows every guest currently in your venue, pulled live from SevenRooms and enriched with WiFi data. High-value guests, birthdays, allergy flags, visit count and tags are all visible at a glance. It updates automatically as guests arrive and leave.
How does the guest tagging work?
CaptiveWiFi analyses each guest's WiFi behaviour - visit frequency, recency, and profile data captured at the portal - and automatically applies the relevant tags in SevenRooms. Tags include First Visit, Returning, VIP, Lapsed, Birthday and Allergy. No manual tagging required.
Is the data transfer GDPR compliant?
Yes. CaptiveWiFi only transfers guest data to SevenRooms where the guest has explicitly opted in at the WiFi portal. Every record includes a consent timestamp, the exact wording displayed, and IP address. A full DPIA is available on request.
Can I use this across multiple venues?
Yes. CaptiveWiFi is built for multi-site operators. Each venue syncs independently to your SevenRooms account with venue-level tagging, so you can segment guests by location.
What if one site covers multiple SevenRooms venues?
Turn on venue selection for the splash page. Instead of guests connecting to a single default venue, they're asked to choose their location before getting online. That choice determines which SevenRooms venue their profile, tags, feedback sync and sales data are matched to - so one WiFi network can serve several venues without mixing up guest data.
Do I need a venue ID configured for feedback and sales sync to work?
Yes. Post-dining feedback sync and sales sync both require a configured SevenRooms venue ID. If a site has venue selection enabled on the splash page, each connected venue needs its own ID configured so data syncs correctly per location.
