Do guests need to download the Pepper app to be enrolled?
No. Guests are enrolled in Pepper directly through the CaptiveWiFi portal at WiFi login. They do not need to download the Pepper app for enrolment to complete. Their Pepper account is created in the background the moment they connect.
What happens if a guest is already a Pepper member?
CaptiveWiFi performs a live lookup in Pepper when the guest connects to WiFi. If an existing member is found by email address, their visit is logged and points are awarded automatically. No duplicate profile is created.
Is consent handled correctly for GDPR?
Yes. CaptiveWiFi only enrols guests in Pepper where explicit opt-in consent has been given at the WiFi portal. Every record includes a consent timestamp, the exact consent wording shown to the guest, and the guest's IP address.
